Introduction
The National Opera Company’s regular production “Hwajeonga” tells the story of nine women in Andong on the eve of the Korean War in 1950, preparing for a spring flower picnic while weaving solidarity and hope. Following their acclaimed collaboration on 1945 in 2019, composer Choi Woo-jung and playwright Bae Sam-sik reunite, joined by Song An-hoon and Jung Young-doo, to create a stage that bridges tradition and modernity.
